".. you know what it means when you see that indicator move, twitch or suddenly sink?  It means the fish just let go of your fly".-  Chris P.

Chris Parsons has lived in Redding, CA. permanently since 2003 with his wife Patty.  On August 11th 2005, Chris & Patty were blessed with the birth of their first son, Conrad.  Chris has been a full time fly fishing guide since the summer of 2003.  His angling experience is not limited to N. California waters, but includes remote & nameless high sierra jewels, countless rivers and lakes between California, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.

"I got into guiding because at the time, I needed a job.  I wanted to do something I would enjoy, so I tried guiding and ended up liking it".

"I want my guests, my friends, to have more than an enjoyable day.  By the end of the day, if my guests have not experienced the fun, excitement and resplendent beauty that our destination offers, then I have failed to accomplish anything".

"People ask me all the time, how long have you been fishing?  My answer could be ...oh 20 years or all my life.  Not true with me.  Of all the fishing I have done, I have spent most of my life just dreaming about it to be honest.  I didn't grow up next to a world class trout stream. To say I enjoy fishing is an understatement.  My feelings on fishing can't be defined in a few words. I just hope I never loose touch with what fishing has meant to me in the past. These days, I spend more time on the water then ever.  It's easy to take the day to day river routine for granted.  I still pinch my self everyday".

When not working, Chris can be found with his family, cooking real BBQ, brewing beer, working on his truck or playing with the labs, planning fishing trips, and when there's time he does R&D work on his rivers (fishing).
